Class assignment to create an illustration based on the alternative meaning behind a nursery rhyme. I went with Hey Diddle Diddle, which was also said to be used for helping children remember the best time to start planting. All of the characters in the rhyme correspond with constellations that only appear together during the month of April. Most nursery rhymes were used as learning devices, but I thought this one was pretty neat.
The lineup goes: cat/leo, fiddle/lyra, cow/taurus, little dog/canis minor (omitted for issues of space), dish/crater & spoon/big dipper.
Neat! There's so many blues! and they all work great together!

Ooh, aside from being quite visually interesting, I really like what's behind the picture. I actually didn't know much about Hey Diddle Diddle, aside from thinking it was just a bunch of nonsense kind of hodgepodged together. You learn something new everyday!
Ahhh! This illustration is just lively, and great! The colors are fantastic too... there's so much that I am looking at but it's not overwhelming~ Great stuff!
Devious Comments
I never put any of that together.
